Eujeen Hwang presented a paper titled “Tuning into the Sound: Discovering Motivational Enablers for Self-Therapy Design” at DRS 2020 virtual conference. The study explored the design of applicable enablers that support the mundane self-therapeutic experience. This paper makes design research contributions with a practical set of enablers that can bring self-therapeutic value to the design, and it provides new insights on how mundane sound can be used to influence mindfulness and perceptions of value and meaning for the individuals. This work was done by Eujeen Hwang and Youn-kyung Lim.
