"Hug" is a program that provides professional counseling services to graduate and undergraduate students, facilitating communication and resolution of various concerns that may arise during their academic journey through peer counselors. Becoming a peer counselor involves a semester-long education on counseling processes and techniques.
This program is jointly organized by the KAIST Counseling Center and the KAIST Graduate Human Rights Center. It aims to expand the opportunities for counseling centers by forming empathy among students, fostering a culture of mutual care and consideration, and observing the ongoing psychological issues of surrounding peers.
Sehee, after completing the peer counselor training course in 2022, has been conducting peer counseling every month and has been selected as an outstanding peer counselor this year.
