Dajung Kim presented a paper entitled, “Dwelling Places in KakaoTalk: Understanding the Roles and Meanings of Chatrooms in Mobile Instant Messengers,” at CSCW 2015, Vancouver, Canada. The study presented how the persistent use of mobile instant messengers has shaped the meanings of mobile chatrooms and how those different kinds of virtual places support people’s digital dwelling with various social relationship.
