Gahyeon Bae (undergraduate researcher) presented a full paper entitled “Why I Choose This Sticker When Chatting with You: Exploring Design Considerations for Sticker Recommendation Services in Mobile Instant Messengers” at the CSCW 2024 conference. This work conducted various qualitative studies to investigate mobile instant messenger (MIM) users’ considerations in sticker selection and usage experiences in daily conversations. Based on the findings, this paper discussed novel design implications for sticker recommendation services in MIM. This work received an Honorable Mention Award at CSCW 2024 (Top 4%).
